Computer Introduction Project 1: Creating a Digital Arts ID Card
 
The Digital Arts ID Card is used to check-out materials and equipment from the Digital Arts Lab. Materials and equipment are to be used during class time only, unless special arrangements are made with Ms. Arnett. The ID is given to the lab assistant in exchange for cameras, microphones, batteries, etc and returned when the equipment is returned and checked for damage. The ID is kept in the sleeve attached to your assigned computer.  
Your ID is created in Microsoft Word  
  1. Open Word= Start, Programs, Microsoft Office, Word

  2. Open a new document = File, New

  3. Add your name to the top of the page =Type your name on the keyboard. When you finish type/hit the Enter key, it moves you down a line.

  4. Add your computer number = Look on the side of your computer, the number that begins with A126__ type the number on the keyboard

  5. Add your picture to the next line = type/hit the Enter key, moving down to the next line. Go to, Insert, Picture, From File. Go to the Drop Down arrow on the Look In text box. Go to, "lessons on east-dc1" drive, Arnett folder, CompIntro folder, "your hour" folder. Change the View (top menu button) to Thumbnails. Find your picture, left mouse click, Open

  6. Save your Word Document file = File, Save As, "your drive ID", click Save.
